Rowing for All
Row With Us
Harlem River Community Rowing is a volunteer-driven rowing program in New York City. We provide quality, affordable, accessible rowing opportunities for all New Yorkers, expanding and enhancing access to the Harlem River for on-water physical fitness and recreation. In particular, we serve the communities of Northern Manhattan and the West and South Bronx. HRCR suspended its on-water programs this season in the interest of public health, but we anticipate resuming our regular programming in 2021.
FREE “Fit to Row” Exercise Series Online
On September 12th, this year's City of Water Day, Harlem River Community Rowing was proud to launch our first Fit to Row exercise video as an In Your Neighborhood event sponsored by the Waterfront Alliance and its partners. The 30-minute video features exercises that support and build the muscle groups needed for rowing, and also promotes overall fitness and flexibility. It's available here and also on our YouTube channel.
We thank the Hudson River Foundation, the New York–New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program, and the Waterfront Alliance for supporting our first Fit to Row event.
HRCR will be releasing more Fit to Row videos over the next few months. Check back here for updates and links for future videos, or sign up for news about upcoming events.
