People with prior rowing experience register for HRCR's 2026 programs by following the steps below. People interested in LTR only need to complete the second item on this list (the registration form).
Complete a copy of the HRCR 2026 Rowing Program Participant(s) Waiver and Release and upload it in the registration form in the next step.
Complete the registration form for the HRCR 2026 programs.
Complete/renew a basic membership (admin fee: $25/20, $10 for Learn to Row) at USRowing.org, sign their waiver, and select Harlem River Community Rowing as your organization.
Complete the SafeSport Self-Attestation and, if required, any training on your USRowing.org profile page.
Familiarize yourself with HRCR Safesport Policy.

By participating, the participant acknowledges to have read and understood this handbook including the Safety Regulations and Procedures and the Emergency Action Plan (See Appendix A and Appendix B below).
By participating, the participant attests to being able to swim continuously for 50 yards (any stroke), to tread water continuously for 5 minutes, and to put on a personal flotation device (such as a life vest) while treading water.
By participating, the participant agrees to inform both HRCR by email at info@harlemrivercr.org (prior to the session) and their session’s coach (at the start of the session) of any medical conditions that may affect their ability to safely participate in our programming.
All participants of experienced programming must either attend the start-of-season meeting (March 22, 2026, 12PM) or review that meeting online.
